Can I use a aftermarket stereo in my car while still using the U-Connect Feature?

I just got a new Dodge Journey, and asked them to install the U-Connect Bluetooth handsfree option so I can use my phone handsfree whilst driving.

I have decided though that I'm not happy with the Stereo, as it doesn't have a shuffle function for my mp3's. I want to get a aftermarket stereo, but I don't want to lose my u-connect functionality. Are there any aftermarkets which are compatible, or can I use U-Connect regardless of the stereo?
 
Nope. The U-Connect is routed right through your stock stereo.

If you want to keep your Bluetooth to Stereo link, you will have to find an aftermarket stereo that has Bluetooth capability ($$$).

Another possibility would be to get a direct connect for a mp3 player (iPod) and use the shuffle function on that.
