Can I turbo Charge a 1992 toyota Pickup?

I found a answer on difference between tubros and supers

Supercharger:

Driven off of the engine (pulls horsepower away from engine to make horsepower)
Most popular: Roots, Lysholm Screw, Centrifugal(does not make boost at low RPMs)
Great for automobiles that do not rev high. (muscle cars)

Turbo Charger:

Driven by the exhaust gases
More efficient than a supercharger
Creates massive amounts of power
You get turbo lag (not instant power feel. You have to wait until the turbo spools up before you feel it)
Need a blow-off valve (to dump boost pressure when your not on the gas)

Both work great to create power. I recommend an intercooler for both.

Anyways i was thinking about a turbo charger and cold air intake. to put on my 1992 toyota pickup. Its a 22re 4 cylinder engine. Will this work. Is a blowoff valve legal in delaware if i have to install one. I will provide more details if nesary
This truck is very special to me. If for some reason something happens to it and is unfixable I will buy another 1992 same exact setup. But I want to add more power to it without putting a new engine in it

I don't know what that kid is talking about working on the block. I don't really know if they make a turbo charger for the engine in your truck. If they do, it is most likely "bolt-on" and wouldn't require any machining of parts. I'm not aware of Jersey's laws, but I live in MD and see a ton of guys come down with turbos on their cars. If a turbo kit is not readily available, I would honestly say not to pursue it. The kit is going to be $1,300-2000 so to top engine mods to that would be crazy. Check to see if you can even get a kit first.

you'll probably have to do alot of work on the block itself, and by the time you add up the cost of the turbo kit and the bill at the machine shop you'll be better off just buying an engine that is already built like you want it. wish i had done that for my hot rod

yes a turbo charger will work for your truck.... but it will take a lot of work to get it their, you could go buy a cheap 240sx with an sr20det and that would be more wise..... but if you do wanna turbo charge your truck its done....... and yes you need an intercooler for it or it will definatley not run right, so in the long run turbocharging your truck would probably be a bad decision becasue it will cost you alot to get it how wou want it to be and then it has to get tuned and you need bigger injectors, and a better head and crank, and better pistons, it would be cheaper and easier to buy a tuner car with a turbo on it already.

If you want to, go ahead. The only thing that I would be worried about is whether or not the transmission will be able to hold up to the additional power.
