Can i transform to interior designing as a career after B.Tech?

I am a final year B.Tech student doin my grad in ECE.However i want to change my line and get into interior designing as a career. Is this possible and are ther some one or two year courses?
Also plz tel d institutes wich provide d same n hv gud placement opportunities
