I am taking my practical driving test in the UK next month and have made arrangements to take it in my mum's car as this is the vehicle I'm most comfortable driving in.
However, after looking at the list of requirements I have a few questions about insurance. What sort of insurance policy do I need to cover myself on the day of the test? I have had two conflicting pieces of advice one telling me I need to have special insurance covering me for the day of the test, the other saying I only need to be insured to drive the car as a provisional driver (which I am).
Has anyone taken the test recently in their own car? And does anyone know of an insurance company that offers special insurance for the day of your test?
