recruiters have been so nice to me? and have been helping me through so much lately (I was dealing with REALLY bad depression up until a few weeks ago and was in the hospital and they were supportive and told me that I didn't need to join if I still wasn't feeling good and what not). They're good friends with my bro (who is a Marine) and I just don't want to piss them off after they've been so helpful. I am enlisted as an 11X Option 40 (Airborne Infantry with Ranger option), which will be even harder than USMC recruit training. I have always wanted to be a Marine but I enlisted in the Army because my parents wouldn't sign for me to join the Marines (back in October when I was 17 and enlisted). I still want to join the Army too, but the thing is that when everyone always asks "what are you doing after high school?" and I say the Army they are just like "Oh, you should've joined the Marines because they are more hardcore.". Deep down in my gut, I feel the same way (except if I were to be a Ranger). WHAT DO I DO!?! HELP!
Also, If i join the USMC I want to do the "National Call to Service Contract" in which I only serve 2 years active (as a Rifleman), and then 4 years of Active Reserve.
