Can I swap my 89 toyota celica engine onto a 95 celica?

I have an 16 valve 2000 engine off a 89 celica gt. I just found a 95 Toyota celica. Can I put the 89 Engine into the 95? The 89 was manual and the 95 is auto. Will this work? Thanks
