can i swap my 318 dodge dakota engine for a 6cyl. engine 5 years older without any

prob. with the trans.? i have a 92 dakota 4x4 with a bad head gasket n posible bad head and valves can i put my old truck motor that is a 6 cyl. 2 wheel drive in my eight cyl. truck without switching any thing but the motor of course and the computer
