that's past the void date? I received extra financial aid this year, meaning that I was able to cover my school tuition and more, but I noticed today that the check says "void after 60 days". It was issued on Sept/18 so today would be about the 64th day. Is it possible that my school can reissue me a new check if I still have the original check? Or will they just tell me "Too bad, it's void." Has this happened to anyone eIse before? I was also told that I should try depositing the check anyway. If it does go through but then the bank realizes that it's void, will they send me back the original check (so that I could then attempt to ask the school if they could reissue me a new one)?
If the check was worth a little amount, then I wouldn't worry about it but it's actually worth a couple thousand. I really appreciate all your answers and thank you for helping me out!
