university? Can I still get the whole college experience (dorm life, frat parties, tail-gates, etc) and a great education and end up being successful even if I don't go to an Ivy League or a big UC school or a prestigious east coast university?

Yes . Absolutely!

Many students feel more comfortable at a smaller college.
You should realize that the " college experience" goes much farther than frat parties and tailgating. The sooner you realize this, the more your chances of graduating will increase.

Learn this real quick! One half of freshmen who enter do no graduate.

Yes! Absolutely. Colleges are colleges. Some really great schools aren't even ranked by some people, yet these schools are super in the eyes of others. Just review Washington Monthly's college ranking. They rank some that U S News doesn't even rank. It's all relative. Serves only to sell magazines.
