can I still get future financial aid if I fail a class?

I am currently taking a college class and have run into some life situations that have prevented me from completing a large portion of the course work. I have asked my teacher for an Incomplete, but I doubt she will give me one. If she does not then I am considering taking an F and retaking the class later for a better grade. Will an F affect my ability to get financial aid to retake this class, we well as other classes?

I'm assuming the drop date has passed, so you are unable to drop the class. No, failing a class will not affect your ability to get financial aid, as long as your GPA is above 2.0, which is considered "Good Standing" at many colleges. If it falls below that, then most likely you will be put on Academic Probabation, which WILL affect your financial aid. If you fail the course, as long as your GPA is high enough, you're fine.
