can i spray paint old tights to make them silver?

I want some sparkly tights for a fancy dress party. If i spray paint them will they be sparkly? Or will the paint just ake them go crispy and stop them stretching?
 
Spray paint would make them go crispy & never spray paint your skin directly ,, If you buy some coloured hairspray (you can get this from Claire's etc ) and spray that on the tights it would let the tights stretch and they would be your desired colour :) hope this helps .... Dann xx
 
I use Wite-Out on my drawers and it works just fine but it's more pliable than spray paint so you're probable better off just spray painting your thighs directly
