Can i sign up for classes while my FAFSA (Financial Aid) is being processed?

im still waiting for my fafsa to be processed completely but i read that it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months so i was wondering if i can sign up for my classes while its being processed cuz the classes start on september first and i dont wanna miss the dead line
