I just got a traffic ticket that requires court appearance and im one week from shipping out, i have an attorney that will represent me in court, i dont have to be there. Will they let me go at MEPS?
recruiter says: either to push back the shipping date or dont say squat and take proof with me to basic training that an attorney is repressenting me just in case that pops up later on and even if it pops up he said as long as is not a criminal issue i will be fine...

Depending the state ur in the lawyer should be able to stand in for u so everything is taken care of while ur gone.

You cannot ship out with open fines/traffic tickets, You need to let your recruiter know NOW, even if you are readin this at 3am. You will either have to suck it up and pay if off or talk to your recruiter about possible delay of your ship date(not likely unless you know someone to take your place). Dont freak out, just let your recruiter know ASAP, its his job to handle situations like this (God knows I did enough of it :)

I do remember one case of mine where we had the kid pay his fine in advance without pleading guilty and his attorney represented him while he as in boot camp, got it overturned and the fine money back, so you have a shot :)
