Can I sharpie or Paint a Cold Cathode Florescent lamp for a PC Chassis?

I got 2 CCFL lights for my HAF 932 but they were more or a pinkish color and I want blood red so could I use a sharpie or nail polish on it to color it?

the lamps were made by Sunbeam and they run pretty cool, maybe around the temperature of a computer monitor screen. warm, but no where near hot.
