So my xbox stopped reading discs last night. Im going to do my best here to contain my rage at how incompetent microsoft is at building hardware that last. Anyway I would rather just throw out the xbox and buy a ps3 or wii before i send them $100 to fix their own shit if that is my only option. I noticed you can copy games onto the xbox hd so im wondering if this will fix my problem. I can snap my hd onto my brothers xbox and copy it on there but will my xbox need to read the disc at all for any part of it? will this work? if so, what prevents people from say, just copying a friends game instead of buying there own? if this doesnt work and there are no other easy solutions, is my best option just to toss it, take the loss on a bad purchase and start over with ps3?
