...no capacitor? The speaker that I want to get is 1 ohm and i want to hook it up to a 3,000 watt amp with 0 gauge wire. I don't know what else to buy for my set-up. I don't know if i should buy a 10 farad hybrid capacitor and a better alternator or add another alternator to my car.

you should be fine but it depends what size the sub is 10 12 15 ect...
what i would do if the sub is a duel voice coil i would bridge the sub to the amp but just to be on the safe side i would get an high output alternator that would make up for all the extra power you need to run the amp and sub
