Can I retrieve my T-Mobile Sidekick iD notes even though my phone has been off for...

...months? Okay, here's the rundown. I am a writer. A poet if you will. I write a lot, every day. My poems are basically my life. I used to go the old school route (pencil and paper), but after I bought a Sidekick a few years ago, I started typing anything I though of on the go on it instead. I eventually started typing all of my poems into my Sidekick. When I started, I did not know that all of these notes were not being saved directly to my phone, but to some unknown "server" or "database" somewhere in la la land. So, one time long ago I was about a week late with my payment, and of course I panicked when I turned on my Sidekick during that week and saw that my notes were gone. That's when I called T-Mobile and found out about the back-up server or whatever. So I know all about that.

Then, my phone was stolen last summer. Called T-Mobile, got my account suspended, and was told that I would lose all my notes once I got a new phone. I was distraught. But I eventually got them back so everything was cool. But I learned that once you are disconnected from the server, your notes are inaccessible from your phone until you are re-connected.

Okay, so now on to my present dilemma. I got my Sidekick cut off for good last fall, but I was still using it to type my poems. I just knew that I couldn't let it die or it would be off the server once it came back on, and I would lose my stuff. This lasted for about two months until I accidentally let it die one day. Again, distraught. But when I cut it back on, my stuff was somehow still there. I was confused, but of course happy. Then it happened again (left it at home for a week and my mom unplugged it), and I was kind of worried, but of course, all my notes were still there when I fired it back up. So I had no idea what was going on, but I just figured that my notes had somehow gotten saved directly to my phone. So I didn't worry about it anymore.

So now it is April. I haven't had service on my Sidekick for at least 6 months. I have typed many many poems on there since then, at least 150. Long poems too. And today my Sidekick died. No worries, or so I thought. I plugged it back in and, to my dismay, all of my stuff was gone. Months and months of work that I had typed well after my phone service had been off. My whole life was on there. Like I said, I have no idea what is going on. I don't know how my notes kept coming up every time my phone died, and I don't know why they decided to disappear today. I'm a pessimist, so I've come to the conclusion that my work is gone forever. But hopefully I'm wrong. I've also learned that a lot of people at T-Mobile do not know how to correctly explain ths stuff to me, because I was told numerous times by different people at Customer Service that I would lose my stuff after my phone was stolen. So I just don't know what to believe. I was going to go and try to get my Sidekick cut back on tomorrow just to see what popped back up, but I don't want to waste my money if it won't work. So can somebody, ANYBODY WHO REALLY KNOWS (a person that works at T-Mobile or has had a similar problem) please tell me what I should do. I need an answer as soon as possible, I'll probably be checking this every five minutes. Nothing is more important to me than those notes. Anybody that can help me out, thanks in advance.

P.S. Sorry this was so long, I just tend to ramble when I'm nervous. Thanks again.
