I have a Kicker KX800.4 that has quit working on me. After a month of use after being installed, it suddenly cut out. Neither the green or the red L.E.D.s on the side of the amp are on. I took it to the place that installed it for me (its a respectable place) and they said that the amp was no good, and I needed a new one.
Note: This amp was sitting around for about 5 years in a dry storage unit in its box.
I've read that maybe the problem is a fried transistor? Anyone know if/how i can fix my amplifier?
Sorry, it didn't suddenly cut out, it sort of gradually cut out. I mean, it would play, then cut out, then play, then one time it cut out and didn't come back on.
