Can I remove my Rogers Nokia SIM and use it in TELUS LG8550?

My friend wants to upgrade his cell phone, and gives his TELUS LG8550 to me.
Can I remove my Rogers Nokia SIM and use it in TELUS LG8550?

Will this switch damage my Rogers Nokia, if I failed to use LG8550 and want to come back to Nokia?

TELUS LG8550 has bluetooth.
 
no the sim card is connected to the carrier and the specific phone. you'll notice that your sim card when you remove it will say rogers, or the cardboard you popped it out of did, at least.

trying it will not damage the phone but it won't work.
