Can I register as an Architect in India if i have done my civil engineering

and then M.Arch? Hi,
I have done M.Arch from one of the universities in UK. But my first degree is civil engineering. Now my question is that can I register as an Architect with COA in India? Is it compulsory to have a first degree in Architecture to register as an Architect?
