Can I re-use my website content for a local newsletter article?

I have a lot of articles on my website that I wrote a year ago.
Now I'd like to submit some of them to a local newspaper (the topic is relevant). Is there going to be a problem because they are already on my website? Can I do that or do I have to write something totally new for them?
 
If you wrote it, it's yours. The question is whether the newspaper will pay you for it. Tell them that you wrote the articles and put them on the web, and see if they want you to write something new.
