Can I put smaller rims and tires on my F350?

I have an extra set of tires at home and I was wondering if it will effect anything if I put a different rim size and tire size on.
the original size is 275/70/18
I want to put on 265/70/17 Toyo M/T's the load range is E so I think it should take the weight
