i saw the feeder fish at petsmart and they were crowding a ton in their cage so i bought six and put them in my 20 gallon with three fancies (fancies are small, this is just a grow out tank untill they get atleast 5 inches). i read on the thing that they could be in temps fom 65-80 degrees so i thought they would be okay. are they?
dont say anything about the tank being over crowded because i know it is. i just want to know if the minnows can go with the goldfish

i would say rosies would be perfectly fine with goldfish, in my experience they never seen to harm my danios or other species. however i would keep a school of them (8 or more). what size tank would you be upgrading to? do not purchase minnows until this tank has been upgraded.

For now, sure, however, they'll likely be food when the Goldie's get large enough.
Technically, their basic water care is the same, and the food should work for them both. You'll just have to keep an eye on the water quality, as the minnows are weaker, an considering their prior living environment, you can bet their immune system is compromised severally by now.
Best of Luck!
