I recently came up with a cool idea but I dont know if its safe to do. I have a 50 gal tank with guppies, mollies, and a small pleco. Tank has white sand as substrate. I was wondering if I can you use nice looking, dried up real-wood branches as decoration in my tank. I think it would look really nice but I just dont know if its safe and if so, what procedures can I take to disinfect and clean the branches so that I dont introduce any parasites or bacteria to my tank. Please let me know about your eexperiences.
What if I use branches or drift wood from running rivers in my area? and boil them? I just think drift wood or even rocks at pet stores are soo expensive =/
