...Regal Coupe which now houses a 305? I want to drop my LT1 350 engine from a 1995 buick roadmaster ( think it's small block ) and transmission into an 84 buick regal 2 door coupe... the regal now houses the stock 305 engine but i'm wondering if the 350 i have will simply bolt right in... transmission and all... also, the stock 305 is carbourated and the LT1 is fuel injected, what are my options with that, if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

Your 84 Regal would have come with an Oldsmobile 307 V8 with a 2004R transmission. The Roadmaster is a Chevy with a 4L60. The Regals are G body cars and some of the G bodies (Monte, Grand Prix) did have chevy V8 options so it should not be that big of a deal to get one to bolt in. Overall length of the transmissions is close but the mount is about 5" closer to the engine on the 4L60. Not sure if there are different holes in the frame or if there were different crossmembers. You will have to take the ECU and all the engine and transmission wiring and install it in the regal. You will have to rig up some sort of a high pressure electric fuel pump. You will have to get a driveshaft from one of the cars with a chev motor or have a custom one made. If you drive it hard you may end up with rear end problems.

Its possible but its in no way a bolt in.
