Can I put my iTunes on a USB flash drive?

I'm getting a new iPod touch but I'm also going to my dad's house for a few weeks. I'll get the iPod in the mail while I'm there. I don't want an empty iPod for weeks. so can I put my iTunes on a flash drive and just hook it up to my dad's computer and it'll put all my music on the iPod?
Kman, would I have to download iTunes on my dad's computer? My sister has a Zune, which I use to have but it broke. so she doesn't have iTunes on her computer. I have it on my mom's, which I'm on right now. would I have to download it on the computer at my dad's?

yeah or put your music on your current ipod and when you get to your dads house take the music off of the ipod.
