I have a goldfish that had dropsy. Better now but there is some scars on the sides visable from where the scales and skin were puffed up that are not going away. Fish has been better for a month and fungus (secondary infections) do not seem to be coming back for a while now but I don't think the scars will ever go away. Is it safe to put back in the main tank or will the fish be too suseptable to infections now?
