My cat is over 4 years old and has a potty problem. I have taken her to the vet and she is fine. I have kept her litter very clean but she continues to go in my hallway, in my yarn, in the plants, anywhere she can go that isn't the pan.
I am considering putting her outside but I live on the third floor of an apartment complex and wouldn't always know if she needed in. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I am not asking how to fix the elimination problem, I just need to know if it is possible for a cat to adjust after being indoors for 4 years and how to make the shift.
She does have claws and is a rather large cat. She also frequently fights my other, smaller and well behaved cat.
