There would be no place for him to like sit ontop of the water, he would just sit at the bottom of my 55 gallon and when he needs air he could swim to the top for a breath? could i do the same with the aquatic frogs?
o i dont have any in there, i was just wondering if i could

0.o i really hope you know hermit crabs are saltwater crustacins and should be left as is or only on land... those are the only 2 kinds of hermit crabs out there. please go with an aquatic frog and do a little research before you ever start anything.

sounds like you have a freshwater tank, if so you could get fiddler crabs or there are different frogs. the white albino get very big and will eat your fish in time.

Frogs you need wil need something that floats so they can get on it an breath.

A Hermit Crab will die in water, the usually live in trees, and only go to the water to drink and reproduce.

If you con't get the hermit crab out of there, you will have a very smelly situation within days.
