Pretty much as title says!!! I know you cant put males in as they will attack but females are more placid, so can I put a female siamese fighter in with goldfish or no?
thanks

No. The two species of fish need entirely different tank conditions. As others have said, a big temperature difference. And with Goldfish being so messy, if they caused a water quality upset the Betta would die first.

There's also the problem of feeding - the Betta would be barged out the way and its dinner stolen. Goldfish also fin nip and push other fish around. And an adult Goldfish could easily eat a small female Betta!

So the answer is no. Goldfish are best in large, over filtered Goldfish-only tanks.

i really doesnt matter as long as you don't put two siamese fighter fish in the same tank. That could change that WILL lead to some trouble.
Hope that helps =D

Is your tank for goldfish or tropical fish?
Generally siamese fighting fish are fine with any other kinds except their own, but it really depends on the nature of the fish. I would think that they would be fine in together but just watch out for the behaviour of the fish until it has settled in.
