Can I press charges against someone who won't return business related items after...

...being fired? Last month I started a small business and I did my mother a favor by allowing my brother to join the team. Unfortunately I had to let him go because it became apparent to me that he is "active" in alcohol & drug addiction, and since I've worked so hard in my recovery, I realized very quickly that my business was in danger.

My brother has some items that belong to my business and are crucial for running it, and he refuses to return them saying that I "owe him for all his hard work". He seems to have this illusion that I should pay him for designing my website. However, my website [in reality] is a "template" used from the same webhost I utilize, and when he first came on board, he (as usual) took over my computer and made some changes to my site... mostly changed the colors and my logo. He ALSO made changes to the fees I was initially charging for my services, and ultimately was trying to make changes in the commission that I was going to pay my salespeople. This and more... all in all, he was pretty much trying to take over my business!

Anyhow, because of this, and (more importantly) his temperament and his obvious incoherent arguments that lead to me to suspect he was "using", I started to stress so bad that I felt evil was lurking around everytime he would come over! I mean, I'm talking about super strong vibes, and the second he knocked on the door, the tension in my home was so thick you could cut it with a knife... Things got so bad that I had one HORRIBLE incident after another, in a matter of days!
(Note: This made me go back to church, tho, because it'd been a while since I started slacking off, so "I am" grateful for that.)

Well... my question is along the lines of...
He doesn't want to return my items, which were pretty costly, and amongst them is my bank stamp, as well as the presentation for my clients, and a flash drive with some of my business information on it. He "insists" that I need to pay him for what he did to my site in that week he was in my home, however, I never "hired" him nor signed anything asking him to make such changes, much less promising to pay him for them. Because he is literally "lashing at me", name-calling and shouting vulgarities at the top of his lungs at me, etc, I decided to take a police stand-by with me to demand he return my things. Problem is, if he doesn't and/or comes up with an excuse about no longer having them, can I press charges against him? If so, even if I let him "use" those things for a couple of days, and he was to return them to my salesperson whom the presentations were originally made for, but hasn't and won't, can I charge him with stealing them from me? Or what kind of charges can I press?

Please, serious answers only... thx so much.
