Can I play Pokemon games online? (Gameboy versions)?

Like, is there a way to play the RPG gameboy games online? (red, blue, yellow, gold, silver version ect;)...

Also, is there a way to save the game as I play it so I can continue it even after I shut down my computer?

Saving the game is essential, cos really no one is gonna play an RPG & not be able to save the progress! lol

If there are any suggestions, reccomendations & ideas, I'd love to hear them!

P.S if there is no online version that can be saved, I wouldn't mind a chance to download the game itself on the computer! :]
 
hello i dont know much about playing online but i do know about visual boy advance.you can download it at rombomb.com

1st you download it then you extract it and drag the applicatioin to your desktop(it will look like a gameboy colour) once that is done you should put v-sync under video on, then put your filter to super eagle and then go to video and put it on any other screen then click on cancel and the graphics will be way better.you should do these steps only after downloading a rom(game) you can get all the old pokwmon games to work but search for the rom first.you can gt upto pokemon emerald and fire red and all that.

There are a few online Pokemon games, like Pokemon Indigo, which are just online games claiming to be just like the original Pokemon games, but you can't play Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver, Gold (etc.) online with other players - even with an emulator.

The only Pokemon games from your console that you can play online is Diamond, Pearl and Platinum which you need a Wi-Fi Connection for.
