I have a Vodafone contract in my mums name that I pay and use, but when the contracts up I want to take my own contract out with Vodafone. But I was wandering how would I keep my number , because you would use a PAC to move a number from say Vodafone to Orange but the PAC process doesnt work on the same network.
So how can I move my number from my current Vodafone contract in my mums name , to my own Vodafone contract in my own name?
I was thinking of getting a PAC from Vodafone to move the number to o2 pay as you go ... then get the PAC from o2 then give it back to Vodafone when setting up my own contract. But that would be too time consuming (48hrs to move to o2 then another 48hrs to move back to Vodafone) and may have it problems (the time it takes for the number to be on o2's network properly).
So is it possible to move a phone number between accounts on Vodafone wihtout having to port the number away from Vodafone then back to Vodafone ?
I would prefer to be on Vodafone instead of taking a contract with someone else. As I find Vodafones coverage excellent and Vodafone have cheaper deals when it comes to roaming abroad.
