I am a a junior in college and an economics major. However, I have taken the calculus sequence, linear algebra, differential equations, some financial math and probability theory. I also intend to take mathematical proofs next semester . My question is: can I still apply to math phd programs being an economics major? Will it affect my application that my bachelors degree was not ALL math intensive?
Can I major in Economics and get a Phd in Math?
