my fiance is in mcrd san diego right now and has requested that i make an appointment with the court to get married while he's home for the 10 days before MCT. i live in fresno california and have checked the website. i have to make an appointment in order to have a commissioner perform the civil service. i've noticed that the appointments fill in quickly as the month starts and to make things even harder we have 4 days to get it done because of weekends and the holidays during his leave. so here's my two questions:
1. does the application have to be turned in before i make the appointment?
2. if so, is it legal for me to print out the application and mail it to MCRD for him to sign? can i even take it in to the county clerks office without him there?
by "requested" i meant that we talked about it and decided his leave was the most logical time to get married, he's not forcing me into it or anything like that. i know what being a marine's wife entials and am as ready as i can be for the commitment...
