Can I lose a discrimination lawsuit against my employer for unproven accusations ?

I am about to file a discrimination lawsuit against my former employers. I was laid off due to budget cuts. In my exit interview I got my manager in trouble. Now, he is mad and is trying to make false accusations that i smoked weed on company property. This is untrue and he has no evidence.
But, he does have a reason to believe I smoke weed at home. I have smoked weed in the presence
of fellow employees on weekends not on company time or company property. Can I lose the lawsuit
if that comes up based off that ? Even though that's not the reason I was laid off ?
