Can i keep my number when i switch to boost mobile?

I have virgin mobile right now but i am switching to boost mobile. just wondering if i can keep the number i have or do i have to get a new one cause that would suck.
 
yes, you can keep your number.
just call boost ahead of time, tell them you are thinking of switching but you want to make sure they can "port" your number. then the customer rep. will check and let you know for sure.
usually, it will work flawlessly. good luck
