Can i keep a 30 gallon fish tank on a 20 gallon tank stand?

Well you probably could but I would still recommend getting the larger tank stand just to be on the safe side.

The tank is designed to sit on a flat surface. If the edges of the tank are hanging over the edge of the stand it can lead to leaks down the road.

yes... my 40 gallon sits on a 20 gallons stand.
