Can I Jump Start My 2007 Suzuki Gsxr 600 or do i need to charge the Battery Instead?

I read somewhere that some fuel injected bikes have computers in them and a jump start could cause a spike and damage the cpu. And if its possible to jump start it can I do it with my car/truck.
