I would like to know if this is possible. What I want is:
A. To install paddle shifters in my 2004 Automatic Dodge Dakota V8.

B. Install a switch which includes a manual override (from automatic to only paddle shifters).

C. Whether I can attach two more up/down shift buttons else where in the cab (eg. arm-rest, thumb accessable buttons on steering wheel, etc.)

D. Whether I will need to edit the default computer (via piggy back or firmware in switch)

E. An guesstimate cost of this little project.

I have SOME but little knowledge of electronics, but im a quick learner =)

Please, feel fre to post comments, links, criticism, etc.

With a few million dollars of R&D money anything is possible.

There is a reason paddle shifters are found on high-buck, high performance cars. The technology is not cheap and takes years to develop.
