can I import videos/pictures from the Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder using windows Vista?

I am getting the Panasonic HDC-TM700 camcorder and I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 and I wanted to know if I can Import videos and photos to my computer because I've heard a lot of people saying you need a powerful computer to import the 60i videos. Any answers will be appreciated, Thank you.
