Can I import asthma medicine to the US from S-America?

I have asthma and I am running out of inhalators. A docotor's visit will cost me about $50 (?) and the inhalators are extremely expensive as well ($20), while in Peru they cost only $2 a piece. Is it possible to get somebody to send me a bunch of those inhalators from Peru to US through standard mail? Thank you
