Honestly, I'd have it imported as auto parts then reassemble it. Biggest problem there is registering it
I'm assuming that since it's from Japan its not up to the US safety requirements and the bark-humper emission standards of CA. If that's case you can import it whole but only for a limited time IIRC.
Your best bet would probably be asking around on some car forums.
It's a great car though
