the amp is 5.1 ch...if i will do this will it work???

connect two 3 ohm speakers in parallel form = 6 ohm?

help pls.

2 wired in parallel will be 1.5 ohm, with most amplifiers this will work but will probably be very dirty ,I would recommend running one 3 ohm speaker per channel

Hmmm, unfortunately, parallel resistance don't work like that.

The formula for working out parallel resistances is

1/RT = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3.............

You add the resistances together in series, not parallel.

Seeing as these are speakers and you are talking about an audio system, i believe these values of resistance are impedance....a mixture of resistance toward current coontaining capactiance, resistance and inductance.......and I don't know a huge amount about audio systems but I though you had better results if you matched the impedance (impedance matching).

So I am assuming it will work, but I am not hugely experienced with audio systems.....so take my advice with a pinch of salt....
