Can I grasp the art of karate deeply even without learning the language and culture

you can, but why bother

if you dont care about kata, then taking karate is pointless.

kata is karate, compose the style you take that makes up karate. without kata you dont have karate., all the techniques, tactics, timing, strikes, locks, chokes, traps, etc come from kata, without proper bunkai kata is useless.

its like saying i want to buy a car but i dont want the engine, can you still use it with out the engine.
 
of japan? I mean, I don't really care about knowing the meaning of kata, kumite, heianshodan, etc. but I do care about learning the skills and the philosophy of it.
I have time for practice but not for international studies because my degree program is like opposite of liberal arts and I'm not really good at liberal arts fields.
My sensei is good. He translates the philosophy of karate to me very well. Is his teachings enough for me to learn karate?

What's your opinion karate kid?
