can i going blonde at the salon?

last week i got home highlights they look ok but i really want to go blonde and im going to the salon will they have to strip out the (blonde and copper ) highlights i put in because i cant afford to get my hair striped or can they just but blonde over the top .i have medium brown hair

also i would like to know what the difference between full head highlights and full head colour is? thanks
