can i go into a tattoo parlor and take pictures? it's for a photography class?

I wanted my next subject for my photography class to be on tattoos and tattoo parlors..i know i'd have to go into a tattoo parlor and shoot pictures, but i didn't know if some places would be strict with that kind of stuff and not let me do it.

I know i'm going to call and ask, but i'd rather know beforehand if a lot of places would say no to something like that..

any help would be great! thanks!
