Can I give my Betta fish fin-rot medicine when he doesn't need it?

I was wondering ways to make sure my Betta's fins are at top notch Quality. I want my Betta's fins to look there best :)
So I was on this betta website and most people who's fish have had fin rot, after being treated they look great! I then started thinking that maybe if I give my fish fin rot medication that their fins will improve even if they don't have anything wrong with them.
So, can I five my Betta fish rin-rot medicine?
I love them very much and I wouldn't do anything to harm them so if theres something in fin rot medicine that could harm them please tell me.
 
givng fish meds when they don't need it can cause as many problems as not gicvng it when they do. For one thing, it could make him resisitant down the line when and if he gets fin rot. thwn what?
Just keep his home clean.
 
I wouldn't give it to them unless they needed it. That's like going to the hospital and getting a cast on your leg and it's not broken! Doesn't make much sense does it?
