Can I get suspended for this? And can he get thrown in jail?

Friday I decided to skip with a guy I'm dating who is 18. I'm 16. The problem is that my mom didn't tell me we had a meetig with the counselor at 2 00. So basically my mom drove there only to find out from the counselor that I didn't even come to school that day. The counselor printed out which classes I had attended that day and it said I skipped every other period, which isn't correct since I didn't attend any of those periods.

The MAiN problem is that school starts at 8 40, so at 8 00 I walked down to the marta bus stop and my guy picked me up from there. I'm afraid on Monday the office will pull me out of class to ask questions and I don't want to get him in trouble either. How much shot am I gonna get in? I have no bad history with this school yet if that helps.

Please help, thanks

Your boyfriend could get into trouble if you mom wants to push the issue. And I don't know about your school district, but here, you'd get a 3 day automatic in-school suspension and zeros for those days as well as for the day you skipped. Hardly worth it, is it?

The problem is NOT that your mother didn't mention the appointment with the counselor. The MAIN problem is not even that you skipped school. The REAL problem is that YOU are not willing to accept responsibility for YOUR actions.
To answer the question you actually asked, YES, you can get in trouble for skipping school. Your 'boyfriend', to use the term loosely, CAN be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Jail time may not be likely, but it IS possible.

this is your first time in trouble at this school you do realize your past schools send your records

if you were doing this stuff there too you in a heap of trouble
that man can be charged with several things delinquency of a minor
statutory rape

you can be charged too with truancy
