pioneer is an excellent brand
everyone hears differently and everyone is brainwashed . trust your own ears. take some music that is important to you and that you know the the highs and lows very well. then compare.
listen to the speakers first then match the amp to the speakers after.
.dont let them sell you on numbers but make sure you have speakers that will work on the amp you are using.
high numbers are good if you can afford to match it with hig power in the amp.
otherwise it is efficiency you are looking for not capacity.
you can run any speaker on a high powered amp but you wont be able to turn some of them past 2 on the dial before they blow your ears out.
but if your amp is too small for your speakers it will not have the juice to drive them. it will distort and sound crappy no matter how much you pay on the system . higher numbers in the amp is more important than high numbers in the speakers
you need to listen to the speakers on the amp/receiver you are buying before its installed. if it is too loud at 2 (out of 10 ) then the amp is too pwerful for the speakers if it is not loud enough at 5 you need more power. it should reach the loudest you ever want to listen at 40 percent of its capacity. the rest of the power you want to reserve for the peaks.
a loud drum bet can be double the rest of the music in terms of load on the amp.
this is true for car or home systems.
